2016 – 2020 Uncirculated New Zealand Circulating Coins Sets
The RNSNZ has produced a limited edition of 200 of the New Zealand 2020 coins with support from NZ Post Limited, Armourguard Security and The Reserve Bank of New Zealand, to ensure uncirculated examples of the coins produced for circulation continue to be available to collectors. They are now available at $30 each or $28.00 each for ten or more plus any postage.
Most of these coins are extremely hard to find as uncirculated coins. They have been acquired from banks and distributors before they enter circulation. While New Zealand Post provides proofs, those are not struck in the standard metals of issue and they do not provide uncirculated examples at all. These sets are in the same style and packaging as those produced officially up until 2013 and continue the series.
The two previous sets produced by the RNSNZ are still available, although 2014 and 2015 are sold out. The 2016 - 2018 set commemorates the Armistice ending fighting in World War One and includes both the special Armistice 50 cent and ordinary 50 cent of that year as well as the 2016 10c and 50c. The 2019 set includes all five coins released into circulation. Only 231 of the 2016 - 2018 sets have been produced and there were 224 of the 2019 sets produced. A limited number are still available. The cost is $30.00 for each set or $28.00 for each set for 10 or more plus the postage.
With the launch of the complete 2020 circulated coins the 2016-18 and 2019 sets are being offered at a discount of $25 each for every 2020 coin set purchased.
